Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria required to apply for the minority scholarship offered by the central and state governments of India: –

  • To participate in this program, the candidate must be a school, college, or university student.
  • The parent’s yearly income should be Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 2000,000.
  • They must fall within the BPL classification.
  • The minority scholarship program only accepts deserving students as applicants.
  • This program aims to motivate females from underrepresented groups to seek higher education.
  • Students who apply to this program must be in grades up to 10.
  • Students enrolled in government and non-government educational institutions received more than 50% of the possible points in this area over the past academic year.
  • The Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme is open to people whose father makes little more than Rs. 1 lakh annually.
  • Such students may utilize this program by submitting applications to the committee.
  • Students in the class of XI through the doctorate are eligible for the post-matriculation scholarship program.
  • It is only available to students who received a grade of at least 50% the year before.

Minority Scholarship Rewards Details

  1. Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities

Particulars Rate
Admission and tuition fee Admission fee for classes 6 to 10: INR 500 per annum is given to both hosteller and day scholars students.

Tuition fee for classes 6 to 19: INR 350 per month is given to both hosteller and day scholar students.

Maintenance Allowance For classes 1 to 5: INR 100 per month for day scholars. For classes 6 to 10: INR 600 per month is given to hosteller and INR 100 per month is given to day scholars.

2. Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities

Admission and tuition fee Admission and tuition fees for classes 11 and 12: INR 7000 per year is given to both hostellers and day scholars.

Tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of class 11 and 12 levels: INR 10,000 per annum is provided to both hostellers and day scholar students.

Admission and tuition fee for UG and PG level: INR 3000 is provided to both hosteller and day scholar applicants.

Maintenance Allowance For classes 11 and 12 including technical and vocational courses: INR 380 per month is given to hosteller and INR 230 per month is provided to day scholar.

3. Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities)

Course Fee INR 20,000 per annum subject to actuals whichever is less is provided to both day scholars and hosteller candidates.
Maintenance Allowance INR 1000 per month is offered to hosteller and INR 500 per month is given to day scholar
Scholarship for listed institutes There is a full course fee reimbursed for 85 listed institutes.

Important Points for Renewal Process of The Scholarship Scheme

The candidates must follow the following method for renewal:

●      The scholarship recipients are getting will need to renew every year.

●      To continue the scholarship, the students must have received at least 50% on their previous year’s exams.

●      A merit list for renewal cases is kept private by the officials.

Terms and Conditions of Scholarships Scheme for Minorities

The applicant must follow the terms and conditions given below to apply for the scholarships:

  • Only those candidates who meet the qualifying standards may apply for one of the three minority scholarships.
  • Students who receive this grant cannot accept any other scholarships concurrently.
  • The administrators will deposit the maintenance allowance and course or tuition fees into the applicant’s bank account.

The authorities consider the following selection criteria to choose the candidate:
