XAT Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2024

A number of India’s top management institutions, including XLRI, XIMB, and many others, use the famed Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) as a criterion for admission. The Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge sections make up the four main parts of the XAT exam. Candidates’ language proficiency is tested in the Verbal and Logical Ability segment, while their capacity for making wise decisions is examined in the Decision Making component. Their mathematical and analytical skills are evaluated in the part on quantitative ability and data interpretation. The General Knowledge part assesses their general knowledge and awareness of current events. Since the XAT is known for being demanding and difficult, aspirants who want to do well in this competitive test must have a thorough comprehension of its curriculum.

What is the Syllabus of XAT Exam?

The XAT curriculum is equally comprehensive as the CAT Syllabus, and like the CAT, it lacks an official curriculum, giving the organizing body some latitude in determining the exam’s format. • Verbal and Logical Ability
  • Decision Making

Essay Writting:

The essay writing portion was part of the XAT exam syllabus up until XAT 2018, at which point it was eliminated. The essay writing part was, however, restored in XAT 2022 by XLRI Jamshedpur.

The single descriptive question in the XAT syllabus is in the essay writing portion. Candidates should anticipate an increase in exam time of 10 minutes with the addition of this section. Another large topic with countless question possibilities is essay writing. In XAT 2022, candidates had to select one of two subjects provided, but in XAT 2023, they had a choice of one essay topic from three possibilities.

The essay writing course emphasizes topical and abstract concepts. Only if the applicant is chosen for additional institute admission rounds is the part reviewed.
