Rewards and Benefits

Student’s will get following benefits with the help of scholarship scheme: –

  • Classes 1 through 4 students will receive 250 rupees for books, clothes, etc.
  • Girls in classes 5 through 8 will receive 940 (boys in the same matric level will receive 500).
  • Girls in class 9 will receive $1140, while boys can receive up to $700.
  • Class 10 female students will receive 1840, while male students in the same grade will receive 1400.

Eligibility Criteria

Details of eligibility criteria for this scholarship scheme:

  • The students’ parents must be Beedi, Iron Ore, Manganese, or Chrome, respectively.
  • A miner with at least six months of experience in ore, limestone, and dolomite mines.
  • Contract or ghar khata labourers are also included.
  • The worker’s family’s monthly income from all sources combined should not be more than:
    • Beedi Workers Rs.10,000/-
    • Mine Workers Regardless of their salaries, mineworkers who do manual, unskilled, highly skilled, and office-related tasks are qualified to use all of the amenities offered by the various welfare programs of the Labour Welfare Organisation. Employees in administrative and supervisory positions are eligible to use the services provided by various benefit programs, subject to a monthly salary ceiling of Rs. 10,000.
    • Cine Workers – “An amount not exceeding Rs.8,000/- per month, or an amount not exceeding Rs.1,00,000/- where students will get amount by way of lump sum or installments; as remuneration of a cine worker for this Act.”
  • The applicant must have aced the most recent qualifying test on their first try.
  • Scholars enrolled in correspondence programs are not eligible.
  • Candidates must be regular students of any general or technical course of study at approved institutions in India, including medical, engineering, and agricultural courses. However, the following student groups are ineligible for the program’s scholarship awards:
    • Students who have completed one stage of education but are currently enrolled in classes in a different topic at the same level as them, such as B.Sc. after B.Com., B.Com. After B.A., or M.A. after M.A. in another subject,
    • Students who pursue further study in a different professional field after completing their educational requirements in one, such as B.T. or B.Ed. after receiving their L.L.B.
  • The educational institute must be one that is acknowledged by the government.
  • Any grants made under this Scheme will not be given to students who already receive scholarships or stipends from other sources.
  • The Scholar ought to have their own checking account. The first name on a Joint Account should be that of the Scholar.
  • A different bank account number should be provided for each child of a worker.
  • Each Scholar must provide a unique mobile number.

Cancellation Of the Scheme

The following circumstances may result in the sanctioned scholarship being revoked:

  • If the scholar received a scholarship by making false assertions
  • If the scholarship recipient stops studying, the award will terminate as of the date of that interruption.
  • If the scholar changes the institute or course without the previous consent of the Welfare Commissioner.
  • If the scholar does not achieve adequate academic progress during the academic year, exhibits erratic attendance, or engages in other misbehavior,
  • If the student’s parent(s) no longer work for Beedi, Mine, or Cine,

Documents Required

The following documents are required to apply for this scholarship scheme: –

  • Photograph
  • A copy of the worker’s identity card
  • Copy of the account holder’s or beneficiary’s information from the front page of the bank passbook or canceled cheque, a passing certificate or mark sheet from the previous academic year, and a revenue authority-issued income certificate.
