Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Central Government of India, provides the Post-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities program. All students who have completed the 10th grade and pursuing higher studies will be eligible for rewards under this program. Candidates who experience any of the diseases like Blindness, low vision, leprosy-cured individuals, hearing impairment (deaf and hard of hearing), locomotor disability, mental illness, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, chronic neurological diseases, specific learning disabilities, multiple sclerosis, speech and language impairment, thalassemia, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, multiple disabilities including deaf Blindness, acid attack victims, Parkinson’s disease, and dwarfism, as well as dwarfism, may apply for this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must succeed in the secondary or 10th-grade exam from a school approved by the state or central board.
- Candidates must have applied for admission to a diploma, master’s degree, certificate, or 11th or 12th-grade graduation degree program.
- Students pursuing a B.A., B.Sc., B.E., etc., followed by an L.L.B., B.Ed., or B.El.Ed. are eligible.
- The student’s family’s annual household income should be at most 2.50 lakh.

Group I: All Graduate and Post Graduate programmes in the fields of medicine, engineering, planning, fashion technology, management, business administration, computer applications, agriculture, veterinary medicine, and allied sciences. - Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable Fees: such as enrolment or registration fees, tuition, sports, union dues, magazines, libraries, and other costs up to Rs. 1.50 lakh annually.
- Book allowance will be given Rs.1500 / – per annum.
Selection Process of Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
The department will prepare a merit list of candidates for a scholarship based on the following points:
- Eligibility conditions of individual candidates.
- State Government Education Department Recommendation
- of slots available for the scholarship
- Percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam (In case of a tie in marks, the percentage of disability will be considered)
