NAT:  UGC NET – Important Dates

  • Starting Date for Apply Online & Payment of Fee: 30-09-2023
  • Last Date to Apply Online: 31-10-2023 up to 05:00 PM
  • Last date for successful transaction of Examination fee (through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI Payment Modes): 29-10-2023 up to 11:50 PM

NAT:  UGC NET – Education Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent from institutions recognized by the UGC.
  • Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, and Electronic Science qualifying exams must be passed.
  • The minimum required grade for candidates was 55%, and for students in the reserved category, it was 50%.
  • Candidates who are enrolled in their final master’s semester can also apply.
  • Ph.D. holders receive a 5% aggregate mark relaxation. Such candidates must successfully complete a Master’s degree examination by September 19, 1991.

NAT:  UGC NET – Age Limit

  • For JRF: Not more than 30 years as on 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01.12.2023.
  • For Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.

  • Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

NAT:  UGC NET – Application Fee

  • General/ Unreserved- Rs. 1150/-
  • General-EWS/OBC-NCL- Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ST/PwD & Third Gender- Rs. 325/-
