Required Qualification

  • General Duty GD: (Male)
    • Candidates Must Have Bachelor Degree with Minimum 60% Marks All Semester / Year
    • Math’s, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.
  • Commercial Pilot CPL SSA: (Male/ Female)
    • Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects with minimum 55% marks in Mathematics and Physics.
    • Should possess current Commercial Pilot License issued/ validated by Director General Civil Aviation on the date of submission of application.
  • Technical Mechanical: (Male)
    • BE / B.Tech Engineering Degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical/ Marine/ Automotive/ Mechatronics/ Industrial and Production/ Metallurgy/ Design/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace with Minimum 60% Marks.
    • Math’s, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.
  • Technical Electrical / Electronics: (Male)
    • Engineering Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/ Instrumentation and Control/ Electronics and Communication/ Power Engineering/ Power Electronics with Minimum 60% Marks.
    • Math’s, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.
  • Law Entry: (Male/ Female)
    • Must have Degree in Law from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

Selection Procedure

  • The ICG Assistant Commandant position selection involves multiple stages, beginning with the CGCAT Computer-based Test (Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Test), then Preliminary Selection (consisting of Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test) and Final Selection. The final selection will encompass a Psychological Test, Group Task, and Personal Interview. Medical examination will also be conducted as per ICG norms.
